History

Veritas 321 Energy Partners, LP was formed in 2006 as a full-service brokerage firm based in West Texas and is currently owned and operated by Ken Dickeson and Candyce Roybal. Ken’s client base from his independent practice was the starting point for the company. Veritas has employed anywhere from twenty to sixty employees and contractors at any given time and has had clients from throughout the energy markets of the United States. The company excels in all aspects of land management including both surface and mineral title, lease and right-of-way acquisition to title curative issues.

The Veritas Name & Logo

Upon its foundation, Veritas was created to be a company that would be known for its ethical priorities and good values. The name “veritas” was chosen for its Latin origin meaning “truth”. The “321” in the company name was derived from John 3:21 which states, “But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” (NIV). This scripture has supported and guided the company throughout its existence. The Veritas logo was created by Kayla Barker in 2006 to be classic, eye-catching, professional and meaningful. The blue colors stand for loyalty, bravery and patriotism being almost as dark as oil however, not being black or gray. The star signifies the great state of Texas with the appearance of the sun shining on it and a shadow behind. The star’s point turns into a drop of oil above a puddle with ripples representing an unending flow of oil and gas prosperity as well as hitting the target, or achieving goals, as a company.
